e.r <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OP THE <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE 9ELD ON <br /> August 1 ., 1R50 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant on Monday evening, August 14, 1950 <br /> at 7:30 P.M. with the following members in attendance : <br /> Howard A. Patterson, Chairman <br /> William M. Hall Clarence E. Smith <br /> Ralph H. Tucker A. W. Cleveland <br /> Leon W. Bateman Thomas J . Donnelly Jr. <br /> John J. Sullivan Raymond W. James <br /> Frank D. Walker, Secretary <br /> Letters from Selectmen read requestion transfers. <br /> Committee adjourned to Barnes Property at 7:50 to look over <br /> the situation. Joined by Selectmen. Returned to Town Accountant ' s <br /> office at 8:10 and had a joint discussion with the Selectmen with <br /> reference to the Barnes Property. Selectmen left at 9 :20. <br /> The following votes were taken: <br /> To transfer 31,500. to Barnes Property for the needed <br /> extra repairs with the suggestion that the Selectmen <br /> leave the garage on but eliminate the cow shed. <br /> To transfer X500. to Barnes Property for the rehabilitation <br /> of a minimum of three rooms for the us e of the Draft Board <br /> and the Civilian Defense. <br /> To transfer $1, 800. to Cary Memorial Building for the extra <br /> money needed for the boiler. <br /> To send a letter to Mr. Potter asking him what decision had <br /> been reached relative to the transfer of the Cemetery <br /> records to the Town Offices . <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10 :10 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> SAK3t- k" <br /> Secretary <br />
