January 16, 1950 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Howard A. <br /> Patterson in the Town Accountant' s Office, with the following <br /> members in attendance: <br /> Ralph H. Tucker Clarence E. Smith <br /> A. W. Cleveland Robert W. Fawcett <br /> Tom J. Donnelly Jr. Emile J. Vadeboncoeur <br /> Leon W. Bateman <br /> Frank D. Walker, Secretary <br /> The minutes of the meeting held on January 9, 1950 were pre- <br /> sented and approved. <br /> Letter from Posture Clinic was read reference increasing budget. <br /> Letter from Dental Clinic was read reference increasing budget. <br /> Letter from Welfare read reference increasing budget. <br /> A Sub-Committee will vote on the budgets and recommend to the <br /> entire Committee the amounts, in their judgment, is necessary for <br /> 1950. <br /> Jim Carroll came in at 7:45 acid discussedhis budgets; left at <br /> 8:15. <br /> The School Committee t2:15, left at 0: 15. They a re of <br /> to reduce budget by $30,600. provided the Appropriation Committee <br /> would agree to support their request for $28,000. as separate item. <br /> The Recreation Committee with Kineen Pond Committee came in at <br /> 9:40 and discussed the Capital Outlay budget, including Kineen Pond <br /> play-area. Left at 10:15 P .M. <br /> The Committee, then discussed some of the General Government <br /> budgets until 11:01 P . M. when adjourned. <br /> R spectful y submitted, <br /> 11. <br /> Secretary <br /> Don' t forget meeting at Hotel Sheraton on January 19, 1950 at 5:00 P.M. <br /> Free dinner. <br /> The next meeting of the Committee will be held on Monday evening, <br /> January 23, 1950 at 7:30. Agenda: <br /> Assessors <br /> Joe DeFoe. <br />
