v <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF <br /> THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD <br /> December 12, 1949 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Howard A. Patterson, Chair- <br /> man in the Town Accountant' s Office with the following members in <br /> attendance: <br /> William M. Hall Ralph H. Tucker <br /> Tom J. Donnelly Jr. Emile J. Vadeboncoeur <br /> Leon W. Bateman <br /> Frank D. Walker, Secretary <br /> The minutes of the meeting held o n December 5, 1949 were pre- <br /> sented and approved. <br /> Letter from Board of Health was presented, reads as follows: <br /> "Mr. Howard A. Patterson December 8, 1949 <br /> Chairman, Apnropriation Committee <br /> Lexington, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Mr. Patterson: <br /> Inasmuch as the funds in the Board of Health - Expenses <br /> Account are practically depleted, it will be necessary <br /> to have a transfer. The Board of Health, therefore, res- <br /> pectfully request a transfer from the Reserve Fund to the <br /> Health-Expenses Account in the amount of $700. <br /> An explanation of this amount is attached. <br /> We have also been advised by the Town Accountant that it <br /> will be necessary to have a transfer to the Personal Ser- <br /> vices Account in the amount of $93.64. Apparently when <br /> the budget was figured, including Mr. Lamont, former <br /> Health Inspector and Mr. Jackson the Sanitarian, suffi- <br /> cient funds were not provided. <br /> Your attention will be sincerely appreciated. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> WILLIAM L. COSGROVE/S <br /> Chairman. " <br /> Dr. Cosgrove and Prof. Russell were present to discuss the <br /> necessity of a transfer with reference to the above request. They <br /> left the meeting at 8:05. <br /> Discussed Daddario abandonment of Contract. <br /> The School Committee came at 8:25 and discussed their budget <br /> until 10:00 P.M. <br />
