24 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF <br /> THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HEE) <br /> December 5, 1949 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> The meeting was called to order by William M. Hall, actin; chair- <br /> man, in the Town Accountant' s Office with the following members in atten- <br /> dance : <br /> A. Cleveland Thomas 3. Donnelly <br /> Clarence E. Smith Emile J. Vad.eboncoeur <br /> Leon '7. Bateman <br /> Frank D. walker, Secretary <br /> The minutes of the meeting heldon November 2P, 1949 were pre- <br /> dented and approved. <br /> The Library Trustees, ':Webster Thomas, Rev. Schade, with Librarian <br /> came in at 7:30 and discussed their Buda°et. Left at 8:21 P.M. <br /> Chief Rrcroft then came in and discussed the budget for the Police <br /> Department until 9:20 P.M. <br /> Two requests for transfers were then presented, one from the School <br /> Department and one from the Recreation Con-dttee. <br /> It was voted to transfer from Reserve Fund as follows : <br /> Handicraft Classes-Personal Services $369.50 <br /> Recreation Committee - Expenses 94.13 <br /> Letter from Lexington Health Council reads as follows: <br /> "APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE: <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> At the November meeting of the Lexington Health <br /> Council, a group representing sixteen organizations in the <br /> Town concerned with health and welfare; the following action <br /> was taken: <br /> Resolved: "Every effort be made to <br /> maintain present health facilities <br /> in the town. " <br /> Alice 2. Burrows, Sec. " <br /> Jose. DeFoe came in and discussed a few of his budgets at 9:45, <br /> left at 10:20. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:25 P.T . <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Secretary <br /> Next meeting Deee finer 12, 1949. Agenda: Health, School. <br />
