AQ <br /> t.�: ' <br /> The Appropriation -Committee held a meeting at 7:30 P.M., on Mon- <br /> day, -March 6, 1972, in room 111, Town Office Building, Lexington. <br /> Present were Edward E . Furash, Chairman, Jack L. Mitchell, Vice Chair- <br /> man, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Levi G. Burnell, J. Blaisdell, <br /> Howard L. Levingston and Donald B. White . <br /> It was reported that reimbursement for schools, this year, would be <br /> about 8e of entitlement. <br /> Also, a petition signed by about 50 voters was in circulation requesting <br /> an inq,iiry into the School Committee and School Department handling of <br /> available reimbursements for specific education costs, particularly <br /> with relation to Learning Disability programs. <br /> in Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED to ask the School Com- <br /> mittee come in to discuss this matter. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION was VOTED, at 8:30 P .M. , to meet with Conservation <br /> Chairman Kassler, CC member N. Cohen and Capital Expenditures Chair- <br /> man R. Kingston. <br /> According to CC priorities; the Conservation Articles stand as <br /> follows: <br /> Arts . #60 & #61 Vine and Monroe brooks - $40,000. for Vine- <br /> probably eminent domain: n $6,000. for Mun- <br /> roe - probably eminent domain <br /> Arts . #58 & #59 Ashley land - 20 acres - opinion of value <br /> $75,000., including costs, acquisition and <br /> easements <br /> Art. #q5 Porter-Wa mint land - $75,000. - estimate of <br /> value is A45,000. - probably eminent domain. <br /> Chairman Furash suggested 470,000. based on <br /> eminent domain problem <br /> Art. #53 Hill-Meek land - negotiated price of $32,000. <br /> Art. #54 Bevington-Stankard land - $25,000. - negotiated <br /> Art. #56 Pinard land - negotiated price of 413,500. <br /> Art. #57 Hamilton-Baldwin land - opinion of value-$85,000. <br /> Chairman Furash stated that Appropriations would still recommend a <br /> total of $200;000. from E &., D and if Town Meeting voted more, that <br /> would go on the tax levy. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 P .M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Elizabeth M.
