The Appropriations Committee held a meeting at 8:00 P.M., on Monday, <br /> May 4, 1970, in the office of the Comptroller, Town Office Building, <br /> Lexington. Present were interim Chairman Robert M. Gary, Elizabeth M. <br /> Flynn, Secretary, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller, Levi G. Burnell, <br /> Jack L. Mitchell, H. Bigelow Moore and Donald B. White. Due to the <br /> inability of Robert M. Gary to serve at this meeting, he called the <br /> meeting to order, and upon motion duly made and seconded, it was <br /> VOTED that Jack L. Mitchell serve as Chairman, Pro Tempore for the <br /> meeting. <br /> Reserve Fund re uq est: $1,000. from Board of Selectmen <br /> Request is made to purchase an additional acre of land <br /> at the Utica Street site . Authorization to purchase 45 acres <br /> r..i was was voted in Article 9 of the Warrant of the Special Town <br /> Meeting held in June of 1968. Survey of the land disclosed <br /> another acre, and the Selectmen wish to include this with <br /> the parcel. With the Reserve transfer a total of 46 acres <br /> would be purchased for 846,000. A small tax adjustment <br /> will be asked at a later time . <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to <br /> transfer the requested $1000. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Elizabeth M.
