White; R. jouza <br /> Reserve Fund Requests <br /> Treasurer requests $12,000 for interest on tax anticipation notes. <br /> Borrowing this year is only $200,000 more than it was last year at this <br /> time; however interest rates have increased from 2.1 or 2.3j', to 3.5% (Most <br /> recent $million borrowed cost 3.47 — 3.55%). More money will probably <br /> have to be requested later when additional borrowing is necessary. <br /> Voted to transfer $12,000 from Reserve Fund for interest. <br /> Police and Fire Medical request $1,000 for doctors and hospital bills <br /> for a fireman injured in line of duty. $90 remains of $500 appropriated. <br /> Voted to transfer $1000 fiom Reserve Fund to accouit A125 <br /> Cary Memorial Library requests $1200 for a microfilm machine. Letter <br /> from E. Clarke, hairman of Board of Trustees explained that this <br /> was for a second microfilm machine for the main desk of Cary Library <br /> which they can purchase now for $1200, a saving of $300 on last year's <br /> purchase price of $1500 and a greater saving on anticipated cost next <br /> March. Board of Trustees has voted apptoval of purchase; if funds <br /> are not available from Reserve Fund, Trustees funds will have to be used, <br /> leaving less money for books. Appropriation Committee could not justify <br /> such a transfer as either emergency or unforeseen. <br /> Motion to transfer $1200 was made, seconded, majority opposed. <br /> Planning Board requests $1100 for printing legal notices. This was <br /> explained in previous meeting. Planning Board will use about $200 of <br /> its expense money for this printing but still needs $1100. <br /> Voted to transfer $1100 from Reserve Fund to account #1650. <br /> Budget Forms approved. <br /> Salary Study Committee — discussed requesting reactivation of Salary <br /> Study Committee as soon as possible Dick Blomfield is Appropriation <br /> Committee's appointee to this committee. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ruth F.
