Rawls <br /> Lincoln St. site discussed - CEC does not disagree with estimates <br /> of cost but will recommend deferment of project until an adequate <br /> engineering survey has been done to show that the land has settled; <br /> up to $15,000 would be recommended for such a survey. <br /> High School Parking Lot - disapproved until a comprehensive plan for <br /> the whole area around Worthen Rd. is available. <br /> Article 56 - Lloyd land - Owner wants $84,000 for an area 2 acres <br /> smaller than he was willing to sell for $65,000 last year. Recommend <br /> 57,500 <br /> Art. 61 $23,500 requested <br /> Art. 68 $14,000 requested CEC recommends for 1969. Unfavorable this year. <br /> Sewers - Not in favor of refilling Selectmen's fund. Committees agreed <br /> in their understanding that this had been a one-year appropriation, <br /> allowing Selectmen flexibility, ; they had anticipated it would be <br /> refilled annually from the usual budget allowed fxmaxxvw for sewers, <br /> not be a yearly addition to that budget. <br /> CEC approved Great Meadow land purchase; otherwise committees were in <br /> agreement on capital items. <br /> Planning Board Items - discussed with Mrs. Riffin, Chairman of Ping. Bd. <br /> Art. 56 - Planning Bd. agrees on $57,500 recommendation <br /> Arts. 59, 60, and 61 to be postponed. <br /> Art. 62 - Hartwell Ave. triangle - Ping. Bd. would like to add to cemetery <br /> and landscape to form a buffer between industry and cemetery and widening <br /> of Hartwell Ave. - Bedford St. <br /> Art. 68 514,000 Planning Board favors <br /> Art. 69 - Utica St. 550,000, Vinebrook $15,000 - Planning Board total <br /> recommended is $65,000 (appraised figure?) to be taken by eminent domain; <br /> Appropriation Ctee. figure approved is $110,000. Conservation Commission <br /> does not have appraisal, but base estimate on $4000/A; have no option, <br /> but owner will sell for that. <br /> Art. 90 - Planning Bd. recommends against this, too. <br /> Lincoln St. Planning Bd. does go along with 4 step development, starting <br /> this year. Schools need 3 to 4 playing fields.
