Zehner <br /> Additional operating budgets discussed and recommendations agreed upon. <br /> Meeting with Selectmen <br /> Information on land articles requested - notavailable. <br /> #1000 - Exec. Secretary got no step raise last year (received addl. <br /> pay for acting as Supt. of Public Works, however), did very well this <br /> year. Therefore double jump is to be requested. <br /> Lincoln St. dump area - a minimum of $100,000 will be needed. There will <br /> be a committee meeting with the landscape architect, Feb 26. <br /> e--� Art. 74 - Sewer Mains - $325,000 . Selectmen anticipate 85% reimbursement <br /> Town Counsel = Selectmen suggest that they may wish to have a Legal Dept. <br /> They have found one willing to come on a part-time basis. For Town <br /> counsel, secty. , and office and expenses they wish to appropriate at a rate of <br /> $30,000 per year. Souza <br /> Articles as stated plus Art. 4 as tentatively recommended, plus estimated <br /> state and county figures would amount to a $9 increase in tax rate, <br /> assuming $600,000 is transferred from E & D. <br /> Articles amount to $2,200,000 <br /> Capital Expenditures Committee estimates $1,400,000 - this would <br /> make the tax increase $5 <br /> Police Rica Budget Discussed <br /> Cadets (Art. 39) recommend only 2 cadets this year and an appropriation <br /> of $5800 <br /> School Articles - Logan Clarke and Rudolph Fobert came to discuss these. <br /> Art. 13 - $125,000 for Junior High School plans - top priority of their items. <br /> Art. 30 - $�500 for parking lot - less importaht than JHS, but they would <br /> like this parking space very much. <br /> Construction Program <br /> Anticipated that new junior high school will cost about $4 million <br /> including equipment (Large increase in cost of mechanical equipment and <br /> relatively small no. of people who will bid on this kind of job accounts <br /> for most of the price increase) <br /> Construction will allow them to put the ninth grade in the Junior High <br /> Schools, to reduce Muazey by 100 and discontinue Muzzey after 1976, they <br /> hope.
