Noyes, L. Zehner, R. Souza. <br /> Jules Sussman stated that the Mass. Dept. of Natural Resources now <br /> wants two appraisals submitted with each request for State reimburse— <br /> ment for land. In addition, the U.S. Dept. of housing and Urban <br /> Development has made stringent rules for information required on <br /> appraisals submitted to them with requests for Federal reimbursement. <br /> On appraisals requiredby them after Letters of Consent have been given, <br /> there is 50% reimbursement. Opinions of value (costing up to 0'150 <br /> �—! per opinion/parcel) have previously been submitted and accepted by <br /> these agencies. Appraisals (costing up to $250 per appraisal/parcel) <br /> are now required. <br /> Parcels of land of which Town Meeting has approved the purchase — on <br /> which appraisals are required: <br /> West Farm 2 appraisals required by Dept. Nat. Res. $500. <br /> We now have 1 opinion of value, rather <br /> complete, need 1 more. <br /> Asx soon as Plug. Bd. completes boundary survey, application <br /> can be sent. <br /> Rossetti Land) <br /> Hamilton Land) 2 appraisals required (separate or combined) $800 <br /> New Amsterdam &) 2 appraisals required <br /> Pihl Land have 1 opinion of value $800 <br /> Hamilton Land) have an opinion of value, not discussed further <br /> Bayle Land ) because not approved by Town Meeting. <br /> Trinity Covenant Church Land — Dept. of Nat. Res. approved application <br /> based on 2 opinions of value; Dept. of Housing and Urban Development <br /> gave letter of consent which allows Commission to proceed but is not <br /> an approval. They may require 2 apprgisals. <br /> Excluding Trinity Covenant Church land until we know whether appraisals <br /> are required, total amount of money needed is $2,100. <br /> Selectmen have $1,850 in their option fund <br /> Conservation Commission has $21,000 for Whipple Hill land; of this <br /> about ±4 114,000 will be needed for Rossetti piece. <br /> Selectmen will consider the request and advise Appropriation Committee <br /> of their action, making any necessary request from Reserve Fund at <br /> that time. <br /> :respectfully submitted, <br /> Ruth F.
