Souza; aad Richard Perry,Comptroller. — Members of Capital Expenditures Committee: Van Boughton, Hugh Chapin, and 17. Davis. Reserve Fund – Selectmen's request for $3,000 for clerical labor pool– voted to postpone granting this until available funds have been exhausted. Kinderjartens June 8, at 8:00 p.m., there will be a Panel Discussion by School Committee and members of the Town Committees (Cap. Expenditures, Selectmen, MIA, Appropriation). Frank Parrish will represent Appropriation Committee. Ci Frank Parrish reported on School Committee meeting on kindergartens and distributed their memeoraphed information to all members. He said that costs to town have been under– stated because they do not include the cost of an extra building, which would not be needed if it were not for kindergartens (add $150,000/yr. to their $123,000). Members questioned whether there would be additional cost for super– visor, auxiliary teachers, secretaries, etc. October enrolment will show whether new trend continues or old rapidly increasing trend resumes; if old trend resumes, school will not be available for kindergarten. If new trend continues and kindergartens do not pass T.M. , school would not be needed until at least 1971, possibly 1972. Fall Town Meeting anticipated. Jules Sussman – Conservation Commission Articles Corridor between Willards roods andDiamond School land. Parcel #17-83, 16+ Acres, optioned @ $22O0/A, now owned by Mario DiCarlo & New Amsterdam Ins. Co. Some high land. Parcel #7.-301, 71- Acres, optioned @ $25OO/A, owned by Pihl. Much wet land, connects with J.H.S. Total price – about $54,000, wanted for wet land conservation, birds, outdoor science labs, green belt from Willards Woods to Great Meadow. Appraisal will be obtained this is necessary for reimburse– ment. If significantly less than option price, they will try renegotiating and consider eminent domain. Worthen ltd. and Mass. Ave. – total area about 4 Acres. Berglund appraisal $5500 for Hamilton piece, 4a5500 for Bayle (leaving out a piece about 140 ft. deep along Stratham Rd. ) Restriction on the Bayle land is for the first 2uO ft. from Mass. Ave. There is a question as to whether 2 houses could be built just back of this 200 ft. Winchester–Arlington corner – total about 36 Acres., losetti parcel, small piece at NW corner, optioned @ $28(.O/A Hamilton parcel, the remaining land, no agreement yet.
