Carlson; R. `'ouza. <br /> Articles were read and the following tentatively approved except <br /> where Noted: <br /> 38. Standby Generator $10,000 <br /> 50% reimbursable (Fed. ) <br /> 39 Radio Equipment 37,000 not discussed or approved <br /> 40 Battery Room, Fire Alarm Sys. 36,000 " <br /> 41 — 47 Recreation Articles 20,250 <br /> 49 Structure ofTow;; Govt.Ctee <br /> 50 Highland Ave. School Site 70,000 <br /> TMMA Chairman, Les York, entered meeting to offer the support of <br /> the Executive Committee at Town Meeting in case the A_propriation <br /> Committee should wish to ddlay the vote on any Article in order to <br /> consider and make a recommendation on its financing. <br /> Meeting with Selectmen at 8:30 p.m. <br /> Selectmen had received a letter from Mr. Parrish listing all items <br /> under Article 4 in which our recommendations differed from the budget <br /> submitted. <br /> #1650 the total budget figure was corrected to $17,659 <br /> The Selectmen agreed to the following changes: <br /> #1100 cut to $350 <br /> #1300 cut to $60 <br /> #1600 $13,158 <br /> #1650 $6,800 <br /> #1675 $200 <br /> #2400 cut to $5,000 <br /> #2900 cut to 0 <br /> #5250 Appropriation Ctee reinstated $1500 for chairs; Selectmen's <br /> chairs will go to Cary stage. <br /> #3750 Police — Selectmen suggested the Chief be consulted before change <br /> in budget is made <br /> 44300 and #4350 — no agreement between Boards on C.D. budget <br /> Article 5 — Town Clerk and Treasurer salary, agreed on $7,500 + $1,500, <br /> total $9,000 annual salary, Collector $8,400. <br /> Article 49 — Structure of Govt. Ctee. needs $400. <br /> Articles 39 and 40 — more information will be obtained. <br /> Police Pensions — same as last year <br /> #7350 Cemetery, Expenses $4,950. <br /> Article 36 — Town Office Bldg. , Prelim. plans — Approp. Ctee recommends <br /> indefinite postponement. <br /> Meeting with Conservation Commission at 10:35 p.m. <br /> Articles 90 and 91, 10+ A to connect Swenson land with Tower property <br /> recreation land at base of Follen Hill. $1600/Acre $17,000 requested. <br /> Articles 88 and 89, West Farm off Oak St. Parcel A is a walkway from <br /> near Peacock Farm to Mass. Ave. in which we should get full rights. <br /> Parcel B is the remainder. The title of Parcel B would go to town, <br />
