The Appropriation Committee met Monday, December 6, 1965 at 7:30p.m. <br /> Present: Frank T. Parrish, Jr. Chairman <br /> J. Harper Blaisdell Oscar R. Carlson <br /> Allan F. Kenney -Cobert M. Gary <br /> Donald P. Noyes Mrs. Richard W. Souzq <br /> Louis A. Zehner Raymond L. White, Secretary <br /> Town Ce.ebrations 4'2400 asks for $5,000.00 from Reserve Fund. <br /> Public Welfare — Personal Services ,x6775 — Recommending $290.00 increase. <br /> Mr. Alfred Gray, executive assistant, entered our meeting at 8:00 p.m. <br /> 1.0 to speak about the Fire Dept. purchasing a Civil Defense Warning System <br /> ,..� at a cost of $976.00. It will take 4 to 5 weeks to get this warning <br /> system. The Fire Department request a transfer of $976.00 from the Reserve <br /> Fund to Fire Department — Expenses account. This transfer was approved. <br /> Our next meeting is to be December 13, 1965 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> The remainder of the evening was spent on examining budgets to see how much <br /> the various budgets have increased or decreased over the preceding year. <br /> The opinion of the Appropriation Committee members; it now looks like a <br /> $48.00, tax rate. <br /> Estimated Receipts $168,000.00 <br /> P 874 receipts 150,000.00 <br /> The chairman and members have tentatively come up with increases or <br /> decreases on budget items as follows: <br /> Percentabes <br /> Articles or Items Increase Decrease <br /> Article 4 10.2% (excluding school) <br /> Town Clerk & Treasurer 30 <br /> Recreation — Pers.
