2.7 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met on Monday, November 15th, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> in the office of the Town Accountant. /l <br /> Present: Frank T. Parrish, Jr. , Chairman <br /> J. Harper Blaisdell Hobert M. Gary <br /> Oscar R. Carlson Mrs. Richard W. Souza <br /> Donald P. Noyes Allan F. Kenney <br /> Logan Clarke, Jr. Raymond L. White, Secretary <br /> The chairman submitted the agenda for this meeting which is as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. Reserve Fund requests <br /> r-I 2. Committee reports <br /> 11J (a) Teachers' salary advisory Committee <br /> 3. Review of Budgets <br /> The meeting opened at 7:40 p.m. and the first item was a request <br /> from the Cemetery Commission as follows: <br /> $346.00 from the Reserve Fund to Cemetery Department <br /> Expense account. Threeamembers voted in favor and four members <br /> against, so vote was lost. <br /> $5OO.00from the Reserve Fund to Cemetery Department <br /> Personal Services account. A motion was made, seconded and voted to <br /> transfer $500 from the Reserve Fund to Cemetery Dept. Personal <br /> Services account. <br /> The Board of Selectmen requested a transfer of $500 from the Reserve <br /> Fund to Recreation Committee Expense account. A motion was made, <br /> seconded and voted to transfer this amount. <br /> The Board of Selectmen requested a transfer of $5,500.00 from <br /> the Reserve Fund to Insurance account #1750. A motion was made, <br /> seconded and voted to transfer $5,500 from the Reserve Fund to <br /> Insurance account #1750. <br /> The Board of Selectmen requested a transfer of $1,000.00 from <br /> the Reserve Fund to Veterans' Services Aid and Expenses account. A <br /> motion was made, seconded and voted to transfer $1,000.00 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to Veterans' Seriices Aid and Expenses account. <br /> Messrs. John Carroll and Albert Gray, Jr. were at our <br /> meeting to talk in general on the Public Facilities building. A <br /> motion was made, seconded and voted to transfer $1,20O.00 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to the Public Facilities Building expense account (a <br /> new account to be set up by the Selectmen). <br /> Miss Mary McDonough, Treasurer, requested the Appropriation <br /> Committee to transfer $000.00 from the Reserve Fund to Elect _ons— <br /> Jurisdiction of Town Clerk, Expenses. This Committee considered the <br /> request and decided to defer action. <br /> The Library Personal Services and :'Expense budget are to be <br /> approximately 70 215% this year, Allan Kenney reported. Elizabeth <br /> Clarke and Karl Nyrel are to be asked to our next meeting. <br />
