2 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met on Monday evening, October 11, 1965 <br /> at 7:30 p.m. an the office of the Town Accountant <br /> Present: Fr,nnk T. Parrish, Jr. Chairman J. Harper Blaisdell <br /> Allan F. Kenney Robert M. Gary <br /> Logan Clarke, Jr Doanld P. Noyes <br /> Mrs. Richard W. Souza Raymond L. White, secretary <br /> The chairman received a letter from Arthur E. Burrell requesting a <br /> transfer of $1,685.50 from the Reserve Fund to the Civil Defense <br /> Expense Account. Chairman Frank T. Parrish, Jr. telephoned each member <br /> of the Appropriation Committee and received a nege,tive vote. <br /> eā; The chairman received a request for a transfer of $500 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to Recreation ā Expense account for program for retarded <br /> children. This was approved. <br /> Frank Parrish met with Lincoln Cole, Chairman of Board of Selectmen, <br /> and suggested that Town personnel salary be raised $290 per employee. <br /> At 9:50 p m. the Appropriation Committee went down stairs and joined <br /> the Board of Selectmen's meeting. The Board of Selectmen are in <br /> agreement on a $290. increase per employee. The Police and Fire <br /> employees got the $290 increase first. <br /> Public Works employees to work 40 hours per weekl This will require <br /> six more employees for Public Works Dept. if hours are 40 hours per <br /> week instead of 44 hours. <br /> November 15th 1965 is the dead line for next year's budget. <br /> $26,000 will be approximate increase. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Raymond L. rdhite, secretary <br />
