21 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met on Monday evening, September 13, 1965 <br /> at 7:45 p.m. <br /> Present: Frank T. Parrish, Jr. Chairman J. Harper Blaisdell <br /> Oscar R. Carlson Robert M. Gary <br /> Mrs. Richard W. Souza Donald P. Noyes <br /> Logan Clarke, Jr. Louis A. Zehner <br /> Allan F. Kenney Raymond L. White, secy. <br /> The meeting was duly opened and the first items considered were two <br /> requests from the Reserve Fund. <br /> 1. 3150.20 requested from the Reserve Fund to Printing Town <br /> e—� Report — expense account. A motion was made and seconded. <br /> 2. $1,685.50 requested from the Reserve Fund to Civil Defense — <br /> = expense account — A motion was made, seconded and voted to <br /> disapprove this request. <br /> Allan F. Kenney spoke in general on the library budget and items he <br /> had obtained from Mr. Nyren, Director,and other budget items he has <br /> looked into; such as revised salary schedule. Budget for personal <br /> services for yeaa• 1965 is $136,500 and for year 1906 is $150,767. <br /> State Aid Funds Suggested that such funds should be put under <br /> separate articles. <br /> John Blaisdell stated that he has had two or three meetings on Public <br /> Works Building. Engineering and Public Works should be together. <br /> Alfred Gray, Executive Assistant entered our meeting at 9:30 p.m. but <br /> did not have the IBM survey report with him. <br /> The forms to be sent out to the various department heads on which <br /> they submit their 1966 bud*ets were reviewed. No major changes were <br /> suggested. Oscar Carlson had several worthwhile minor suggestions. <br /> A more extensive information sheet was suggested. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:20 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Raymond L.
