BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
The Appropriation Committee welcomed Troop 139
of the Boy Scouts to the meeting.
III . PERSONNEL BOARD
A report from the above Board was received by the Committee
and placed on file.
IV. RECREATION
The Appropriation Committee will go foward with Article 44
($60,000) and will indefinitely postpone Articles 35-36-
37-38 and 39.
V. RESOLUTIONS
The following resolutions were approved:
a. Collective Bargaining
b. Local Aid
c. County Government
d. State mandated programs
VI . TOWN MEETING 1977
Chairman Furash stated that he was going to speak very
briefly at the opening session of Town Meeting due to the
fact that the predicted $92.60 is an outrageous figure.
If the Town Meeting wants to they could remove more money
from the budget. As for the school budget, I see no reason
why they cannot go with a zero base budget. We cannot afford
to go into next year spending any more than this year, the
Chairman stated.
