White , Vice <br /> Chairman-Schools, Peter Hall, Vice Chairman, General <br /> Government, John Campbell, Martin Gilman, Howard L. <br /> Levingston, Mitzi Kutchin, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller, <br /> Ex-Officio <br /> I . CABLE TV <br /> Present: Bill Page <br /> Howard Cravis <br /> The following points were covered: <br /> a. Public ownership is the most appropriate for Lexington <br /> use - town could have better control this way. <br /> b. Presently, there is no pressure from outside, so the Town <br /> has some time - however within the next three years this <br /> situation could change. Therefore , it is recommended by <br /> the Cable Committee to use this time for further detailing <br /> the best possible options to take. <br /> c. The Cable Committee will report back to the Selectmen in <br /> 5 months on further progress. <br /> d. Mr. Page asked the Chairman to have a representative from <br /> the Appropriation Committee to oversee financial implications. <br /> Chairman Furash stated that this request could not be granted <br /> due to the ways the by-laws are set-up. The Chairman urged <br /> Mr. Page to ask the Selectmen to appoint someone with a <br /> financial background to serve on this Committee. <br /> e. Capital investment 21 years ago - 21 mil -- $100,000 for <br /> equipment, $100,000 annual expense. <br /> II . COMPTROLLER <br /> The Committee welcomed back Mr. Richard Perry. A letter to <br /> Mr. Perry from the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee was <br /> sent bn behalf of the Committee. (attached) <br /> III . MINUTEMAN REGIONAL VOCATIONAL HIGHSCHOOL <br /> Present: Ron Fitzgerald <br /> Charles Cartwright-Acton <br /> a. Present figures are to be changed. <br /> b. 1,005 students presently <br /> 1,330 expected next year <br />
