2-24
APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE
DATE: April 26, 1976
TIME: 7:30 P.M.
PLACE: Cary Hall
PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Donald B. White , Vice-Chairman,
Schools, J. H. Blaisdell, Secretary, Martin Gilman,
Mitzi Kutchin, Patricia Hagedorn, Howard L. Levingston,
Peter Hall, John Campbell, Richard M. Perry, Ex-officio.
I . The minutes of April 12, 1976 meeting of the Appropriation Committee
were read by Secretary Blaisdell and so approved by said Committee.
II . The following points were made by the Committee :
Article 30 should be brought up before Article 92.
Article 30
If this is the only way to get wetland district established,
then it would be wise to spend the $20,000. However, Mr. White
stated that he was not sure this amount would be sufficient
to do the job.
A poll of the Committee was taken by Vice-Chairman White as to
their feelings on this Article :
Mr. Hall - I feel this is ok.
Mr. Gilman - This is OK with me and I feel we should
go along hoever, I am still on the fence
with Green & White .
Mr. Levingston - I do not feel the presentation given
in the Selectmen's office was satisfactory.
Mrs. Kutchin - I do not feel I know enough about this.
Yr. Campbell - I am 50-50 on this.
Dr. Blaisdell - I am opposed to who is going to do the
job - not the idea itself.
The motion under Article 30 should be
revised so that the funds are "to be
transferred from Reserve Fund Overlay
Surplus" .
Meeting adjourned at 8 :00 P.M. for Town Meeting.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 3, 1976 at 7 :30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
: H. Blaisdell/mo'b
Secretary
