Mr. Perry gave a report following his attendance at the Town Finance <br /> Committee meeting: <br /> a) Local Aid is going to decrease - 70 mil less - 10% <br /> decrease in school reimbursement (Lexington 25, 000) <br /> b) Revenue Sharing funds end with payment on December 31, <br /> 1976. <br /> c) Fiscal Autonomy of Schools on the Legislature for <br /> next year. 2/3-4/5 Bill in Legislature. <br /> d) Key Issues - Powers of Unions and Collective Bargaining. <br /> e) Franklin County providing building inspections. <br /> f) We are losing to the unions because of weakness and lack <br /> of preparation. <br /> II. GENERAL DISCUSSION <br /> a) List for Saturday' s meeting with Selectmen: <br /> 1. Listen - let them make presentation. <br /> 2. Land acquisition. <br /> 3. Technical Services & Surveys. <br /> 4. O.S.H.A.? <br /> 5 . Brook restoration - get conservation and <br /> Selectmen to get together on this issue. <br /> b) Personnel Board <br /> 1. There is not a full committee here. F. Bailey <br /> wants the Committee up to full strength. <br /> 2. Arrange a meeting with Appropriation Committee <br /> and this Board. Richard Perry to carry out. <br /> c) Appropriation Committee Article <br /> Richard Perry advised the Committee that he has <br /> written to Town Counsel asking that he draw up <br /> article re expiration date of Appropriation Committee <br /> members. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8 : 45 P.M. <br /> Next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 , 1975 at 9 : 00 A.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Richard M.
