174 <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> DATE: November 24, 1975 <br /> TIME: 7 : 30 P.M. <br /> PLACE: Town Office Bldg. Room 111 <br /> PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Donald B. White, Vice Chairman- <br /> Schools, Harry Hall, Martin A. Gilman, Maxine Kutchin, <br /> John Blaisdell, Arthur T. Bernier, Richard M. Perry, Secretary <br /> I. SELECTMEN <br /> The following points will be brought up with the Selectmen: <br /> a) Road Machinery <br /> b) Fire Department Pumper <br /> c) Buildings <br /> d) Technical Services <br /> II. MYSTIC VALLEY <br /> We will not hear from them until the Board of Health recommendations <br /> come in. <br /> III. BOARD OF ASSESSORS <br /> Richard M. Perry, Secretary, is to advise Town Manager O'Connell <br /> that J. H. Blaisdell will attend meetings for the Appropriation <br /> Committee. <br /> IV. PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Chairman Furash made the following comments re the above Board: <br /> a) Centralization of personnel methods . <br /> b) Grant application. <br /> c) The following names were submitted by the Committee <br /> to serve on the Personnel Board: <br /> Joanne Small - General Radio <br /> Harold Page - Polaroid <br /> Edward Brograd - Attorney <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded the above names <br /> were VOTED to be sent to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> V. JULY 4th CELEBRATION <br /> Being considered - low cost estimated. <br /> VI. PURCHASING <br /> Mr. Blaisdell gave a brief report on his meeting with Town Manager <br /> O'Connell: <br />
