GENERAL MATTERS <br /> The following points were mentioned by the Chairman <br /> to be discussed in more detail at a later date: <br /> a. Use of CEDA employees. <br /> b. Inspection situation - this could get out of control. <br /> c. D.P.W. Machinery Budget <br /> d. Recreation Study <br /> _ e. Purchasing Functions - Richard Perry and J. H. Blaisdell <br /> have been asked to look into the following: <br /> 1. Existing purchasing controls. <br /> 2. Existing bid controls and how monitored. <br /> 3. Kinds of prices and are purchases being made <br /> at lowest cost? <br /> 4. Martin Gilman is to speak to the Town Manager <br /> re background on the Article in the Minuteman <br /> on Road Machinery. <br /> 5. Peter Hall and Arthur Bernier are to see Town <br /> Manager O'Connell re inspections, i.e. , what do <br /> these people actually do? Are there existing <br /> diaries of their activities? Are inspections <br /> being recorded - are inspectors on a time card? <br /> 6. Mrs. Hagedorn is to see Town Manager re CEDA. <br /> 7. Budget timing - Chairman Furash will speak <br /> to Town Manager re this. <br /> 8. Infiltration Study <br /> 9. Recreation - Howard Levingston <br /> II . PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Chairman Furash will ask Mr. Butler to meet with the <br /> Appropriation Committee on September- 22, 1975 to bring the <br /> Committee up to date. The Following points will be <br /> mentioned: <br /> a. Implementation of ADL Study. <br /> b. Personnel job descriptions. <br /> c. Personnel Manual <br />
