MAJOR ISSUES FOR 75-76 SEASON <br /> Chairman Furash spoke to the Committee and listed ideas <br /> that he felt should be kept in the minds of all members: <br /> a. The Committee operates on concensus and the <br /> role of the Committee is truly a difficult <br /> one. <br /> b. The Appropriation Committee is a Committee of the <br /> Town Meeting -- we represent the people of the <br /> town and we are a non-partisan group. <br /> c. Our role is one of essentially looking out for <br /> what the taxpayer has to pay. <br /> d. Inspections <br /> e. Recreation - this, if not looked into could get <br /> out of hand this year. <br /> f. Recreation Study <br /> g. Budget processing and Town Meeting date. <br /> h. Standard operating procedure for citizen's articles. <br /> i. By-law change re Appropriation Committee expiration <br /> date. <br /> j. Lexington Visiting Nurse Association Assessment. <br /> k. Education of Firemen - no one thought of the details <br /> of financing herb, <br /> 1. Compensation Review Board - J. Butler to be contacted <br /> here. <br />
