Blaisdell, Martin A. Gilman, Richard M. Perry, <br /> Comptroller <br /> """-1 I. POLICE <br /> The Appropriation Committee met with the Board of Selectmen <br /> �- to discuss the Personnel problem here. Selectman Kenney gave <br /> the Board's position and their reason for recommending the <br /> hiring of new police to the force. <br /> The Approprition Committee met in EXECUTIVE SESSION following <br /> this meeting and so VOTED to concur with the Board on the <br /> extra men. <br /> II . FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> Selectman Bailey stated statistics and reasons why the fire depart- <br /> ment is not up to full strength. One a year for four years would <br /> be the goal. Chairman Furash made it clear that we were not <br /> establishing a fire inspection bureau at this time and Selectman <br /> Kenney and Bailey agreed. He also stated that he sees the one <br /> more man as a safety valve and the one man a year makes sense <br /> but does not buy it at this paticular time. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 12:15 P.M. <br /> Next meeting is scheduled for Monday,March 17, 1975 at Carey Hall <br /> prior to Town Meeting at 7:30 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> 1/4 n <br /> Eliz beth M.
