RECREATION <br /> a. Ballfield Lighting - A. Bernier stated he felt this was not <br /> a sound idea at this time. <br /> b. Tennis Courts - the same people use the courts on a constant <br /> basis. J. Mitchell is to try and secure a sign-up book if <br /> possible. <br /> c. Completion of Comprehensive Recreation Study is a "must" Chairman <br /> Furash stated. <br /> e. Note was made by the Town Manager that the swim tag cost was up. <br /> II. The following points are to be brought up with the meeting of the <br /> Board of Selectmen: <br /> a. Chairman Furash stated that he wanted to see the M-Scale increases <br /> and also the pink sheets. This request was made to Selectman <br /> Kenney. <br /> b. SEDA - we should be putting on more SEDA people. Selectman <br /> Kenney stated that they planned to use this to the fullest. <br /> c. Separation of Articles 4 & 5. This is to be discussed further <br /> with Norm Cohen. <br /> d. Inspection Article has further costs in terms of people? <br /> e. What is the Selectmen's position on Recreation? <br /> f. Finding of personnel director? <br /> g. What programatic costs can be made in General Town Government? <br /> III . APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> Changing the format of the report was discussed by the Committee <br /> members. It will be necessary to issue a supplementary report <br /> prior to Town Meeting Chairman Furash stated. <br /> IV . CONVENTIONS <br /> Appropriation Committee members suggested that the dollar cost <br /> be cut here and the number of trips be scruitinized very closely. <br /> V. METERED MAIL <br /> Twice as many tax bills has caused a substantial increase here. <br /> Town Manager O'Connell stated that he would like to have bills <br /> sent out more than twice a year. <br />
