Mitchell, Vice <br /> Chairman, Gen. Gov't. , Donald B. White , Vice Chairman, <br /> Schools , Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, J. H. Blaisdell, <br /> Martin Gilman, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller <br /> I . SCHOOLS <br /> Donald White reported that on December 11, 1974, at 8: 00 P.M. <br /> in Estabrook Hall, there will be a meeting of the School <br /> Committee re the closing of certain schools for renovation <br /> purposes. Mr. White stated that this entire project will <br /> run approximately 2i million. Major Boards are asked to <br /> attend this meeting. <br /> II . POLICE PRESENTATION <br /> Chief Corr made his presentation before the Board of Selectmen, <br /> and the Appropriation Committee . The following points were <br /> made : <br /> Investigations <br /> 1974-9,500 <br /> Serious Offenses <br /> 1961-361 <br /> 1974-1, 263 <br /> Arrests <br /> 1974-7,000 <br /> Fines <br /> $81,000 <br /> Housebreaks <br /> 350 <br /> Auto Theft <br /> 130-new lock mechanisms have cut down here. <br /> Value of property stolen <br /> $600,000 <br /> Accidents <br /> Have gone down due to lowering of speed <br /> limits. <br /> 43 police officers - 6 cadets - no new ones <br /> addEd since 1970. <br />
