APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> DATE: June 10, 1974 <br /> TINE: 7:30 P.M. <br /> PLACE: Town Office Building, Room 111 <br /> PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Donald B. White, Vice <br /> Chairman-Schools, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, <br /> Arthur T. Bernier, J. H. Blaisdell, Martin Gilman, <br /> Patricia K. Hagedorn, Howard L. Levingston, Richard M. <br /> Perry, Comptroller <br /> I . It was moved and seconded to keep existing members in their <br /> perspective positions. <br /> II . Due to the increase in metered mail, it was moved and <br /> seconded to transfer the sum of $2,500 from the Reserve <br /> Fund to Account 2940 Metered Mail. <br /> III . It was moved and seconded to transfer th3 amount of $2,500 <br /> from Reserve Fund to Account 1950. <br /> IV. PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> Up to the present time there have been three meetings <br /> between Selectman Kenney, Town Manager O'Connell and the <br /> Board. Mr. Butler is Chairman and Mr. Sidman will record <br /> notes from the meetings. Initially, most of the time has <br /> been spent on Lexington Town Government, and how it works. <br /> Two important areas must be dealt with immediately; fringe <br /> benefits and collective bargaining managihg. . .the Committee <br /> has not participated in this as yet. It was noted that <br /> after May 1st it will be time-and-a-half after 40 hours. <br /> V. TOWN MEETING <br /> Selectman Kenney would like to back to early Town Meetings. <br /> The Warrant should be closed earlier. <br /> VI. Capital Expenditures <br /> Their report ended up to be too much like the Appropriation <br /> Committee's and this I would like to see changed the Chairman <br /> stated. <br /> VII . RESERVE FUND TRANSFERS <br /> The following transfer requests were VOTED by the Committee : <br /> Acct.1125 - $1,650 Acct.3800 - $7,000 <br /> " 1950 - 2,500 " 555o - $1,500 <br /> " 2935 - 1,550 5600 - v.7,00077g,00000 <br /> " 2940 -- 2 220 p2 - 8 Y,2?8 <br /> 3450 <br /> 05 1 <br />
