Vice Chairman Mitchell so <br /> authorized the ChairMan to write �uch a letter and "dice Chairman <br /> White was in agreement. It is hoped that the �300,000 can be <br /> transferred to reduce the tax rate the Chairman said. .� & D <br /> does not help until 1975 tax rate. <br /> — II . CAPITAZ EXPENDITUR�S <br /> In a very brief ineeting Chairman Kingston was informed by the <br /> Appropriation Committee that the model which includes the <br /> $300,�00 plus all "goodies" is a �79.00 tax rate . It is our <br /> feeling the Chairman said that you people should reduce your <br /> present budget. Two areas of discussion axe : 1) equipment - <br /> ask Town it"ana er 0'Connell to go over present status and report <br /> back to us� ?� streets - up quite a bit and they would like to <br /> see what the overall s year projection is. Chairman Furash <br /> stated that the �electmen do not want the Tov�m dug up during <br /> the Bicentenni�,1 . The Chairman made it very clear that the <br /> rate of increase in the Capital Expenditures budget is just too <br /> hi�h.
