21 <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> DATE: May 7, 1973 <br /> TItJE: 7: 30 P.M. <br /> PLACE: Town Office Building <br /> '"'t PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Jack L. Mitchell, <br /> Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, <br /> J. H. Blaisdell, Levi G. Burnell, Howard L. <br /> Levingston, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller <br /> I . REORGANIZATION FOR 1973 SEASON <br /> a. Mr. Burnell made the motion to renominate the present <br /> group of Officers. <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded the above motion <br /> was VOTED. <br /> b. Chairman Furash stated that due to the large job to be <br /> done with the School Committee, he would like to nominate <br /> someone from the Appropriation Committee to attend the <br /> School Committee meetings on Monday nights. The entire <br /> Committee felt that Don White would be the most likely <br /> candidate for this job. <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded it was VOTED to <br /> elect Don White as "Vice Chairman - Schools" . <br /> c. At the suggestion of the Chairman, Jack L. Mitchell <br /> was appointed to work on the "Personnel Board" . <br /> d. It was requested by the Moderator to have someone from <br /> the Appropriation Committee serve as liason to the <br /> Bicentennial Committee. Mrs. Elizabeth M. Flynn was <br /> appointed to work here. <br /> II . CAPITAL EXPENDITURES COMMITTEE <br /> Present: A. Scigliano L. Zehner - Town Treasurer <br /> R. Kingston K. Buttersl- Town Meeting Member <br /> G. Silverman <br /> L. Whitman <br /> The main issue of discussion concerned bonding of the Library. <br /> Mr. Zehner feels that a 10 year financing would be his best <br /> recommendation. Mr. Silverman was of the feeling that we should <br /> 1 <br />
