Williams of Conservation Commission met with Appropriation Committee.
Discussed Art. 59-Purchase of Pine Meadows Golf Course and various proposals
to fund $1,850,000 purchase. If it is to be operated as a golf course, price
would be $2.5 million, per D. Williams.
Meeting reconvened after Town Meeting.
Committee voted yes-1, no-6 on proposal to put $250,000 down with a 10 year
bonding.
Joined by Selectman John Eddison and Conservation Commission members, Dave
Williams, Frank Smith, Gerry Frick.
Chairman Dailey explained position of Committee as voted. He then proposed
outright purchase of golf course at reasonable (?) price with $250,000 down
payment, 10 year bond and a lease program of the course to go out for bid.
Conservation Commission will review this proposal with owners.
Respectfully submitted,
Richard M.
