Personnel Advisory Board <br /> Committee attended Selectmen's meeting for overall discussion of budget as <br /> submitted by Town Manager. <br /> Capital Expenditures Committee endorses Option 1 of Town Manager's recommendations. <br /> Committee reconvened in its own session. <br /> Discussed School spending in great detail, including why school requested budget <br /> is up 4.2 or 4.8 when Town limited to 22% increase. <br /> Chairman to assign extra members to examine school budget more completely. <br /> Chairman to request details of salaries by departments and programs of school. <br /> Copies of computer runoff of school detailed budget furnished Barry Marshall, <br /> (Educational Sub-Committee Chairman) for his guidance and perusal. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Richard M. Marshall attended School Comm./Bd. of Selectmen meeting on January 8, 1983, also <br /> attended by representatives from MinuteMan Vocational School. B. Marshall reported <br /> that limitations imposed by Prop. 22 were discussed and it was generally agreed <br /> that any cuts should be shared on a 55% School-45% Town basis. School preliminary <br /> budget should be available by end of the week. <br /> Personnel Advisory Board to be invited to next meeting. <br /> Ms. Sally Castleman and Sara Arnold of Transportation Advisory Committee (Lexpress) <br /> joined meeting. They have submitted budget of $269,000 to Town Manager. They are <br /> not aware of what type of program the Manager would propose for the $50,000 in his <br /> budget. Still studying Town leasing vs. Purchasing of buses as compared to <br /> Contractor/Operator supplying buses although new bids to go out on Contractor/ <br /> Operator supplied and for a period of 1, 2 or 3 years. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> j4,4 p <br /> Richard M.
