Tonaszuck to attend next meeting on May 5 to explain Line item #5400-Highway <br /> Expenses and Art. 15. <br /> Briefly discussed Art. 26-Lexpress. Tonaszuck, Dir. , DPW joined meeting - Explained that request under Article 4- <br /> Line Item #5400 - Highway Maintenance would be for $160,000 rather than $212,650. <br /> (Down $52,650) as originally presented. <br /> Article 15 will contain only borrowing authorization of $232,716 as originally <br /> proposed ($181,918 for paving and $50,908 for Hartwell Ave. design work.) <br /> Stan Toye reported on towns that have or have had mini-bus services: <br /> Winchester - Discontinued due to Prop. 22. <br /> Bedford - Not a town wide service. Make limited runs to few locations, but <br /> particularly to Burlington Mall. Contractor also furnishes school <br /> bus transportation. <br /> Newton - Contractor also furnishes school bus transportation. City provided <br /> only $15,000 "seed" money when program started and recently added <br /> $15,000 more.
