443 <br /> DATE: March 22, 1982 <br /> TIME: 7:30 P.M. <br /> PLACE: Comptroller's Office, Town Office Building. <br /> PRESENT: W. Dailey, R. Perry, P. Hall, S. Toye, E. Arlan, R. Cataldo, <br /> G. Wadsworth, B. Marshall, J. Campbell. <br /> Question raised by George Wadsworth to Committee: "Have we been monitoring the <br /> salary proposed for the new Superintendent of Schools?" "Is it insulting to <br /> former Superintendent to offer a new person more?" No input was offered or <br /> asked of Screening Committee, per R. Cataldo. Per G. Wadsworth: "School budget <br /> is really going up $1 million, if you take their cuts out first due to pupil <br /> reductions, then go to the amount they are requesting. They should cut out <br /> some program(s) ." <br /> Susan Adler, Assistant to Town Manager joined meeting. Discussed and reviewed <br /> information on Art. 5 which is request for $350,000 for salary adjustments. <br /> Chairman Dailey spoke of CMARC request. He had a conversation with Mr. Hebert <br /> and 6 people are in program from Lexington. <br /> W. Empey joined meeting. Talked of Road Machinery Equipment request of $175,000. <br /> Committee discussed fact that number of pieces of equipment is to be increased by <br /> one? No change in position of equipment article of $132,000. <br /> Committee also discussed Water Distribution Study. <br /> Committee voted approval of following Reserve Fund Transfer to: <br /> Acct. #1125-Fire & Police Medical Expenses $10,000.00 <br /> Balance now is $89,500 in Reserve Fund. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Richard M.
