APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2002-MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, 7:30 PM <br /> Present: <br /> P Hamburger, R Pawliczek, D Brown, K Dooks, E Michelson, S Spector, A Levine, A <br /> Nedzel, J Ryan <br /> • Members of the Tree Committee appeared before the AC. They will amend <br /> Article 4 to include $25,000 for planting and maintaining trees. They did not <br /> indicate where the funding. <br /> • MOTION: To support the amendment of the Tree Committee for $25,000. The <br /> motion failed unanimously. <br /> • Dan Fenn appeared before the AC to discuss the $30,000 request for the tourism <br /> bus. He felt that it would become a slippery slope and difficult to back out of. He <br /> was not aware of the fact that the BOS had stated that if the program lost$30,00 <br /> they would terminate the program. He then changed his position of being against <br /> the program. <br /> • David Kaufman presented possible amendments to Article 4 in an attempt to put <br /> back Saturday Lexpress service. <br /> Ac.05.01.2002 <br />
