APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> MARCH 25, 2002, 7:00 P.M. <br /> MUSEUM OF OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE <br /> • Present: P Hamburger, R Pawliczek, E Michelson, A Levine, S Spector, D Brown, <br /> K Dooks, R Eurich, A Nedzel, J Ryan <br /> • Appropriation Committee signed Annual Report to be submitted to Town Meeting <br /> • Lincoln Park discussion. P Hamburger and A Levine met with R White, K <br /> Simmons and A Russell regarding possible funding scenarios from the Recreation <br /> Fund. R White proposed increasing golf fees by.50 cents per round, which <br /> would generate approximately$25,000, increase other fess to generate $15,000 <br /> and apply$35,000 form the Recreation Fund, fund balance. <br /> • P Hamburger stated that the group could not come to agreement on the issue. <br /> • P Hamburger reported that the Unreserved Fund Balance at June 30, 2002 was in <br /> excess of$900,000. The minimum balance at February 28t, 2002 was estimated to <br /> be approximately$330,000 <br /> • General discussion of the current status of the SBA reimbursement schedule <br /> • Motion to postpone Article 5 of the Special town Meeting (8Y, 1 N-RP) <br /> • Motion to support a$75,000 annual transfer from the Recreation Fund to support <br /> the debt service. Failed 3Y-6N(Yes, AL, DB, KD) <br /> • Motion to support $100,000 annual transfer from the Recreation Fund to support <br /> the debt service. Passed 9-0 <br /> ac.03.25.02 <br />
