APPROPRAITION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2001, S.M.R. 7:45PM <br /> Present: P Hamburger, R Pawliczek, D Brown, S Spector, E Michelson, R Eurich, A <br /> Nedzel, and J Ryan <br /> Also Present: R Neuimier <br /> • Minutes of September 25, 2001 approved <br /> • R Neumier represented the Recreation Committee to discuss the athletic fields, <br /> which will need to be reconstructed at the elementary schools. Discussion of the <br /> golf course and the revenues generated from the operation. Eric will discuss with <br /> K Simmons. Fees were increased in FY 01. <br /> • Recreation Capital Plan discussed. FY 03 reconstruct the Pine Meadows parking <br /> lot ($300,000), FY 05 retaining wall on the 9th hole ($400,000), Adams and <br /> Valley tennis court reconstruction, FY 07 center playground <br /> • ATFC Annual Meeting. Those wishing to attend please notify J Ryan <br /> • Elementary School Project. Discussion surrounding possible "swing space". P <br /> Hamburger, G Burnell and J Moynihan met on November 7, 2001. Cost estimated <br /> to be between$5.5 and 7.5 million. Possible space at Diamond or a piece of <br /> commercial space. <br /> • Summit II general discussion. $ 5.7 million gap. Put back SBAB funds of$702k, <br /> palaces gap at $6.4 million <br /> • Discussed the school capital request of $355k for FY 03 and$ 1,857 for FY 04 <br /> • COA Building Committee. Nothing new reported <br /> • Cary Library has raised $ 2.6 million as of Nov. 18, 2001. Eric will seek quarterly <br /> updates <br /> Acl 1.08.01 <br />
