APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1999, COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE 7:45P.M. <br /> Present: R Pawliczek, A Nedzel, S Spector, D Brown, E Michelson,J Ryan <br /> Absent: P Hamburger, C Welch, D Kessler, A Levine <br /> • R Pawliczek reported on the recent gang of 8 meeting. AC should bring facts to the <br /> table not necessarily be the bearer of bad news for the BOS. <br /> • School Department appears to be in a position this fiscal year when they will not be <br /> requesting a supplemental appropriation request at the Annual Town Meeting <br /> • D Brown reported on the ATFC Conference. <br /> • D Brown handed out and there was a discussion of the data she was able to get from <br /> the DOR over the Internet. The towns appearing on the handout were towns, which <br /> appear to be similar to Lexington. <br /> • Reminder of the summit meeting to be held on November 30th at the Hastings School <br /> at 4:30 p.m. <br /> • General discussion of the possibility of having general operating overrides or debt <br /> exclusions at approximately eighteen month intervals. <br /> • P Hamburger will have further discussions with M Battin and N Cohen re: AC charge <br /> • R Pawliczek distributed and there was a general discussion re: school enrollment <br /> • S Spector discussed his attending the CEC meeting. The SC intends to present a <br /> capital program in February. <br /> Ac10.28.99 <br />
