APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING, MARCH 1, 1993 <br /> Present: G. Burnell, J. Pagett, C. Abbott, R. Souza, M. Mairson, R. Borghesani, <br /> P. Lapointe, C. Coughlin, J. Ryan <br /> Absent: S. Nablo <br /> Also in attendance was the Capital Expenditures Comm.; P. Hamburger, K. Dooks, <br /> N. Cannalonga, G. Holland, R. Grammont <br /> General discussions by both committees regarding the warrant capital articles. <br /> The AC & Capital are in agreement on most articles <br /> Both committees expressed concern over Art. 20 in that it appears to be being <br /> used at this point expressly for schools when the intent was for a study <br /> of all municipal buildings. Concern also expressed over the use of $80,000 for <br /> the design of the central dispatch in the Police Department. <br /> Both committees also felt that the study should be completed by one firm <br /> in order to prioritize the issues <br /> G. Burnell discussed the deadline for the creation of the AC report, March 17th <br /> J. Pagett made a brief presentation of the School issues in a draft form <br /> P. Lapointe made a presentation of the Shared Expenses, specifically as it <br /> relates to health insurance, the Enterprise Funds and related <br /> articles. <br /> Committee voted the following articles, eight for, none against, one absent <br /> Art. 8:approved,proceed with work; how to fund to be resolved (bond) <br /> Art. 11: approved <br /> Art. 12:approved, subject to receipt of grant <br /> Art. 13: no vote required, but something should be written <br /> Art. 19: approved <br /> Art. 20: R.Souza to obtain more information. Concern that all buildings <br /> be included. <br /> Art. 21: do not support <br /> Art. 23: approved from Town Manager Jurisdiction Acct. <br /> Next meeting schedule for Monday, March 8, 1993 after attending the Selectmen's <br /> Meeting at 7:30 P.M. <br /> Motion to adjourn <br />
