Ryan <br /> *Ron Levy introduced to committee members <br /> *Photo taken for annual town report <br /> *Town report write up to be completed by November 30 <br /> *Ron Levy gave committee a biographical sketch <br /> *Discussion of attendance at the upcoming ATFC conference <br /> *Discussed the PAB and the feeling that the committee should nominate <br /> an individual with a school background when an opening exists <br /> Ron Levy suggested John Stayn, Asst. Superintendent in Weston and <br /> Chr. Pagett requested other names for nomination <br /> C. Burnell suggested that the individual would have to be accepted by all <br /> in order to be effective <br /> *Chr. Pagett rerported on the Chairman of the Committees Meeting <br /> both the Town & School will attempt to hold FY92 increase to 3/3 1 /2% <br /> school budget process commences on October 16 <br /> there appears to be good cooperation amongst all the boards <br /> *general discussion as to wheteer the committee should make a public <br /> statement regarding Questions 3&5 <br /> committee feeling should be expressed not en individuals position <br /> some disincentive to serve if expression is stiffiled <br /> committee should state the effect that certain issues may have on the <br /> Town <br /> concern of statements being made by the Chr. & Vice Chr. as being those <br /> of the Committee as a whole if not couched properly <br /> *statement of the Committee should be "The Appropriation Committee <br /> feels that with the information available at this time the passage of <br /> Question 3 would be equivalent to a reduction of approximately 5% in <br /> appropriations which would cause significant reduction in both school <br /> and town services." <br /> *Chr. Pagett discussed TMMA executive board meeting <br /> the "collusion" concept was brought up again by TMMA <br /> TMMA feels that the 3 1/2% increase restricts them <br />
