Roy[MDR] (Vice Chair), StephanieHsu [SH] <br /> (Clerk), Christina Lin [CL], Larry Freeman [LF], Scott Bokun [SB] (School Committee Member), <br /> Melissa Interess [MI] (Town Manager's Office Member/Human Services Department), Chris <br /> Barry [CB] (Police Department) arrived 8:37am <br /> Absent: Cleveland Coates [CC] <br /> Meeting called to order at 8:30 AM, Quorum was present at 8:30 AM <br /> 1. Welcome <br /> 2. Announcement of New Members—Welcome Christina Lin and Larry Freeman. <br /> 3. Minutes—SB moved to approve October 21, 2021, minutes. MI Second; Minutes <br /> approved unanimously. <br /> 4. No Hate November— November 9, discussion was well attended. Four LHS students <br /> present. LHS attendees requested a discussion group just for women to talk about <br /> feminine issues, specifically regarding teenage women. Three students have <br /> submitted responses about the videos. Kindness Rock activity is November 19, 3- <br /> 4:30pm at the Munroe Center. <br /> 5. Workgroups— <br /> a. Impact of COVID on Persons with Disabilities—Joint workgroup with CoD.The <br /> focus of the workgroup is to solicit and gather perspectives and experiences of <br /> persons with disabilities during COVID. <br /> b. MLK Community Conversation on Race—The Purpose of Education— Honoring <br /> Dr. King's Legacy with Racially Inclusive Curriculum. <br /> 6. Updates from Members— LHRC can create a logo. Dec 13, 7pm, is the joint summit on <br /> mental health with the Select Board and School Committee to report out on the mental <br /> health survey. The IAL—Diwali program is November 20, 2021. <br /> 7. Chair Report—see attached report <br /> a. Cuban Community Human Rights Event— Not Lexington based —Ana Hebra <br /> Flaster and Tom Diaz presented on the human rights issues in Cuba. TG will reach <br /> out Select Board to see how we can support these efforts. <br /> b. First Friday League of Women Voters -TG and Martha Duffield will be <br /> presenting. <br /> 8.
