• . . <br /> 429 <br /> WARRANT FOR STATE ELECTION . <br /> THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br /> Middlesex , ss . <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington <br /> Greeting : <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify <br /> and warn the inhabitants of said town who are qualified to vote <br /> in Elections to meet in <br /> EMERSON HALL , Stone Building , East Lexington ( Precinct 1 ) <br /> CARY MEMORIAL BUILDING , Lexington Centre , ( Precint 2 ) <br /> ( Precinct 3 ) ( Precinct 4 . ) <br /> on TUESDAY , THE FOURTH , DAY OF NOVEMBER , 1930 , at six o ' clock A . M . , <br /> to cast their ballots for the following officers : <br /> Governor ; Lieutenant Governor ; Secretary ; Treasurer ; Auditor ; <br /> Attorney General ; Senator in Congress ; Congressman ; Councillor ; <br /> Senator ; Two Representatives in General Court ; District Attorney ; <br /> Register of Probate and Insolvency ; County Commissioner ; Two <br /> Associate County Commissioners ; County Treasurer . <br /> To take action on the following Questions : <br /> Acceptance of the following " Proposed Amendment to the <br /> Constitution . " <br /> Question No . 1 <br /> Article XXl - of the articles of amendment is hereby annulled and <br /> the following is adopted in place thereof : <br /> Article XX1 . In the year nineteen hundred and thirty-five and <br /> every tenth year thereafter a census of the inhabitants of each <br /> city and town shall be taken and a special enumeration shall be <br /> made of the legal voters therein . Said special enumeration <br /> shall also specify the number of legal voters residing in each <br /> precinct of each town containing twelve thousand or more <br /> inhabitants according to said census and in each ward of each <br /> city . Each special enumeration shall be the basis for determining <br /> the representative districts for the ten year period beginning <br /> with the first Wednesday in the fourth January following skid <br /> special enumeration ; provided , that such districts as established <br /> in the year nineteen hundred and twenty- six shall continue in <br /> effect until the first T ednesday in January in the year nineteen <br /> hundred and thirty-nine . <br /> The house of representatives shall consist of two hundred <br /> 11 and forty members , which shall be apportioned by the general <br /> court , at its first regular session after the return of each <br /> special enumeration , to the several counties of the com ionwealth , <br /> equaly , as nearly as may be , according to their relative numbers <br /> of legal voters , as ascertained by said special enumeration ; <br /> and the town of Colhasset , in the county of Norfolk , shall , <br /> for this purpose , as well as in the formation of districts as <br /> hereinafter provided be considered a part of the county of <br /> Plymouth ; and it shall be the duty of the secretary of the <br /> commonwealth to certify , as soon as may be after it is determined <br /> by the general court , the number of representatives to which each <br /> county shall be entitled, to the board aut_gorized to divide such <br /> county into representative districts . The county commisioners or <br /> other body acting as such or , in lieu thereof , such board of <br /> special commissioners in each county as may for that purpose be <br />
