<br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington ,
<br /> in said County , Greeting :
<br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , you are
<br /> directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington ,
<br /> qualified to vote in elections andin town affairs , to meet in the
<br /> CARY MEMORIAL BUILDING , in said. Lexington , on WEDNESDAY ,
<br /> the Fifteenth day of October , 1930 at 8 P . M . , then and there to
<br /> act on the following articles :
<br /> Art . 1 . To receive the report of any ':oard of Town Officers
<br /> or of any Committee of the Town , and to appoint other Committees .
<br /> Art . 2 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money by
<br /> transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account , to the following
<br /> accounts : Street Signs , Public Works Department , Sidewalks ,
<br /> Vine Brook Drainage , or act in any manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 3 . To see if the Town will vote to establish a building
<br /> line on Massachusetts Avenue from the northerly terminus of the
<br /> present street line on the former Tovm Ball property now owned
<br /> hY; Messrs . Rubin and. Seligman , to the property of the Boston &
<br /> Lowell Railroad Corporation , all as laid out b: the Selectmen
<br /> and s1,own on plan on file in the Town Clerk ' s Office entitled ,
<br /> " Plan showing proposed building line on Massachusetts Avenue ,
<br /> Lexington , from its northerly terminus to property of Boston
<br /> & Lowell Railroad Corporation Sept . 4 , 1930 , Scale 1 inch - 20
<br /> feet , John T . Cosgrove , Town �'ngineer , " appropriate money there -
<br /> fore by the issue of bonds or notes , by transfer from other
<br /> accounts or by any or all of such met ods , or act in any, manner
<br /> in relation thereto .
<br /> Art . 4 . To see if the Town will vote to accept the relocation
<br /> of Massachusetts Avenue from the northerly terminus of the
<br /> present street line on the former Town Hall property not owned
<br /> by Messrs . Rubin and. Seligman to the property of the Boston &
<br /> Lowell Railroad Corporation , all as laid out by the Selectmen
<br /> and shown on plan on file in the Town Clerk ' s Office entitled ,
<br /> " Plan showing proposed relocation of a portion of Massachusetts
<br /> Avenue , Lexington , Sept . 4 , 1930 , Scale 1 inch - 20 feet ,
<br /> John T . Cosgrove , Town ne'ngine er , " appropriate money therefore
<br /> by the issue of bonds or notes , by transfer from other accounts
<br /> or by an; or all of such methods , or act in any manner in
<br /> relation thereto .
<br /> Art . 5 . To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to
<br /> purchase from Daniel J . O ' Connell and Anstiss S . Hunt , et al ,
<br /> or either of them, a portion of the land and buildings on
<br /> Massachusetts Avenue between the site of the old Town Hall now
<br /> owned. by Rubin and Seligman and the land of the Boston and
<br /> Lowell Railroad. Corporation between the former northeasterly
<br /> street line and the new northeasterly street line as laid out
<br /> by the Selectmen approximately twenty-eight feet in depth from
<br /> Massachusetts Avenue in order to provide for a widening of
<br /> Massachusetts Avenue , appropriate money for such purpose by
<br /> the issue of bands , notes , or by transfer from other accounts ,
<br /> or take any action in relation thereto .
