<br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts . Middlesex , ss .
<br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington , in
<br /> said County , Greeting :
<br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ,
<br /> you are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town
<br /> of Lexington , qualified to vote in elections and in town
<br /> affairs , to meet in the Cary Memorial Building, in sdL d
<br /> Lexington , on MONDAY, the nineteenth day of May , 1930
<br /> at 8 P . M . , then and there to act on the following articles :
<br /> Art . 1 . To receive the report of any Board of Town
<br /> Officers or of any Committee of the Town , and to appoint
<br /> other Committees .
<br /> Art . 2 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate
<br /> additional money for the following accounts : Granolithic
<br /> sidewalks , Forest Fires , Waltham Street damages , Street
<br /> Signs , Fire Mbpartment , Lowering Brooks , Town Clerk , and
<br /> Police Department , or act in any manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 3 . To consider the further report of the Planning
<br /> Board on the drainage and development of the Vine Brook
<br /> water shed and the report thereon of Metcalf & Eddy ,
<br /> Consulting Engineers , dated September 29 , 1928 , a copy
<br /> of which is on file at the office of the Board of Selectmen
<br /> and open to public inspection ; and to see if the Town
<br /> will approve or adopt all or any of the recommendations
<br /> therein. contained , vote to construct , deepen , enlarge
<br /> or relocate water ways , drains , sewers , conduits , roads
<br /> or parks substantially as described therein ; appropriate
<br /> money therefore by the issue of bonds or notes or by
<br /> direct appropriation or by transfer from other accounts
<br /> or by any or all of such methods , or act in any manner
<br /> in relation thereto .
<br /> Art . 4 . To see if the Town will appropriate money to
<br /> deepen , widen , relocate or clear of obstructions Vine
<br /> Brook below Sheridan Street and to alter and reconstruct
<br /> the present culvert under East Street .
<br /> Art . 5 . To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen
<br /> to install a sewer in Winthrop Road extension from the
<br /> present end of Winthrop Road to Waltham Street , a distance
<br /> of approximately 1 , 450 feet ; also from a point in
<br /> Winthrop Road extension near the present south branch
<br /> of Vine Brook across private lands to Vine Brook Road , a
<br /> distance of approximately 19 50 feet ; also from Vine * Brook
<br /> Road across private lands to Mass . Avenue ; from Mass .
<br /> Avenue across Town property to the railroad; from the
<br /> railroad across private lands to Sherman Street ; from
<br /> Sherman Street across private lands to Sheridan Street ;
<br /> thence along Sheridan Street to a point in Grant Street ;
<br /> the total distance from Vine Brook Road. to Grant Street ,
<br /> as above described , being approximately 2 , 000 feet ;
<br /> appropriate money for said construction by direct
<br /> appropriation , issue of bonds or. notes , or act in any
<br /> manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 6 . To see if the Town will vote to establish as a
<br /> town way , or accept the layout of as a town way a portion
<br /> of Tucker Avenue , from Baker Avenue westerly, as laid
<br /> out by the Selectmen, and shown upon a certain plan on
<br /> file in the office of the Town Clerk , appropriate mone
<br /> therefor by the issuance of bonds or notes or by direct
<br /> appropriation , or take any action relating thereto .
