<br /> Art . 10 . To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer , under the1h411
<br /> direction of the Selectmen , to borrow money for any necessary purposes ,
<br /> in anticipation of revenue for the current year , the same to be repaid
<br /> directly from the proceeds of said revenuo , or nct in any manner relative
<br /> thereto .
<br /> Art . 11 . To see if the Town will vote to rals, e and appropri ,. to the sum
<br /> of $300 . 00 or soiii . other amount , : nd elect a director , the money to be
<br /> expended by cnd the director to serve in cooperation with the Middlesex
<br /> County Trustees for County Aid to Agriculture in the work of the Middle -
<br /> sex County Extension service , under the provisions ( 'f Sections 40 to 45 ,
<br /> Chapter 128 , General Laws of Massachusetts .
<br /> Art . 12 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money for the use
<br /> of the Water and Sewer Department and to provide same by issuance of
<br /> bonds , notes or by direct appropriation or by any or all of such methods ,
<br /> or take any other action relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 13 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money either by
<br /> the issue of bonds , notes or otherwise , for the construction of Massa-
<br /> chusetts Avenue from the end of the present permanent construction
<br /> about opposite Oak Street to Middle Street .
<br /> Art . 14 . To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to
<br /> enter into a contract with the Massachusetts Department of Public
<br /> Works , Divisionof Highways , for the construction of any State highway
<br /> which may be laid out or constructed in the town during the present year
<br /> or take any action with respect thereto .
<br /> Art . 15 . To see if the town will indemnify the Commonwealth of Massa -
<br /> chusetts against any and all claims for land , grade and drainage damages
<br /> which may be caused by or result from the laying out , alteration or re-
<br /> construction of any State highway or section of State highway in Lex-
<br /> ington , and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to sign indemnity
<br /> agreement therefore in behalf of the town, or take any other action in
<br /> respect thereto .
<br /> Art . 16 . To hear the report of the Board of Selectmen giving their re-
<br /> commendation aS to the purchase of land to be used by the Public Works
<br /> Department for storage of material and equipment , and as a site for a
<br /> new building to house the Fire Department in accordance with a vote of
<br /> the Town under date of December 8 , 1927 , or act in any manner relating
<br /> thereto .
<br /> Art . 17 . To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to
<br /> petition the Director of Accounts of the State for an audit for the
<br /> year 1928 .
<br /> Art . 18 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money to construct
<br /> a fence around the Colonial Cemetery, or act in any manner relating there -
<br /> to .
<br /> Art . 19 . To see if the Toon will vote to extend water mains in the
<br /> following unaccepted streets , subject to the usual guarantee and appro -
<br /> priate money therefor , either by the issue of bonds , notes or otherwise :
<br /> Independence Avenue , t.1-_ chu: ett Drive , Crescent Hill Avenue , Franklin
<br /> Avenue , Fair Oaks Drive , debb Street , Shade Street , Smith Avenue , Robbins
<br /> Avenue , -Tower Street , Watson Road , Farmcrest Avenue , and Cedar Street
<br /> (Accepted ) , or act in any manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 20 . To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to
<br /> petition the County Comulission .rs to lay out to a width of . sixty ( 60)
<br /> feet and to relocate and order specific repairs on Unithaui Street from
<br /> its junction with Massachusetts Avenue to Middle Street , or act in any
<br /> manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 21 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money to be ex- t
<br /> pended by or under the direction of the Traffic Committee , said Com-
<br /> mittee having been appointed by the Selectmen to investigate traffic con-
<br /> ditions in Lexington , or act in any manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 22 . To see if the Town will make an appropriation to be used for
<br /> further study and completion of plans for Vine Brook Dr< < inage , or act
<br /> in any manner relating thereto .
<br /> Art . 23 , To see if the Town will recommend to the Selectmen , acting as
