Town of Lexington <br /> Noise Advisory Committee(NAC) <br /> Minutes of Meeting October 7,2021 <br /> A meeting of the Noise Advisory Committee ("NAC') was held via Zoom videoconference on Thursday <br /> October 7, 2021, at 7:00 PM. A quorum of three members was present. <br /> NAC Members Present: Dan Koretz (Chair), Vicki Blier, Nick Afshartous, Stewart Smith <br /> Others Present: Mark Sandeen (Select Board), <br /> 1. Introductory Remarks <br /> Dan convened the meeting at 7:00 pm and noted that the agenda would include a review by the <br /> Committee of the draft documents under consideration (Town Meeting/Select Board Presentation, draft <br /> Article 10 and draft FAQ prepared by Vicki), and a discussion of the steps required to prepare for the <br /> upcoming Select Board and Special Town Meetings. <br /> 2. Review of FAQ and Other Documents <br /> The Committee discussed the current draft FAQ which was tabled by Dan. Various proposed changes to <br /> the text were discussed and incorporated by consensus into the document. The Committee also <br /> reviewed the current wording of the draft noise bylaw(Article 10) contained in the Town Meeting <br /> Warrant. <br /> The Committee reviewed and discussed the draft presentation created by Dan for recording and use at <br /> the Meetings. <br /> Dan agreed to send a marked-up copy of the warrant article to the NAC members. Mark also indicated <br /> that these documents should be posted on the website when in final form. Dan noted that he would <br /> forward these documents to Kathy Santos (at the Town of Lexington) for review and approval ahead of <br /> posting. <br /> 3. Steps to be Taken ahead of Town Meeting <br /> The Committee then discussed the steps that the Committee would take to prepare for the Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> Stewart agreed to finalize outreach to Community Groups in an effort to obtain further endorsements <br /> ahead of the Town Meeting. <br /> Vicki agreed to finalize the draft FAQ, incorporating feedback received from Committee members. <br />
