Town of Lexington Noise Advisory Committee(NAC) Minutes of Meeting October 7,2021 A meeting of the Noise Advisory Committee ("NAC') was held via Zoom videoconference on Thursday October 7, 2021, at 7:00 PM. A quorum of three members was present. NAC Members Present: Dan Koretz (Chair), Vicki Blier, Nick Afshartous, Stewart Smith Others Present: Mark Sandeen (Select Board), 1. Introductory Remarks Dan convened the meeting at 7:00 pm and noted that the agenda would include a review by the Committee of the draft documents under consideration (Town Meeting/Select Board Presentation, draft Article 10 and draft FAQ prepared by Vicki), and a discussion of the steps required to prepare for the upcoming Select Board and Special Town Meetings. 2. Review of FAQ and Other Documents The Committee discussed the current draft FAQ which was tabled by Dan. Various proposed changes to the text were discussed and incorporated by consensus into the document. The Committee also reviewed the current wording of the draft noise bylaw(Article 10) contained in the Town Meeting Warrant. The Committee reviewed and discussed the draft presentation created by Dan for recording and use at the Meetings. Dan agreed to send a marked-up copy of the warrant article to the NAC members. Mark also indicated that these documents should be posted on the website when in final form. Dan noted that he would forward these documents to Kathy Santos (at the Town of Lexington) for review and approval ahead of posting. 3. Steps to be Taken ahead of Town Meeting The Committee then discussed the steps that the Committee would take to prepare for the Town Meeting. Stewart agreed to finalize outreach to Community Groups in an effort to obtain further endorsements ahead of the Town Meeting. Vicki agreed to finalize the draft FAQ, incorporating feedback received from Committee members.
