Town of Lexington <br /> �\OVS MOP <br /> �� o <br /> s - <br /> 3 <br /> APRIL 19" <br /> J <br /> Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) <br /> Minutes of Meeting April 15th, 2021 <br /> A meeting of the EDAC was held virtually on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. via <br /> zoom. <br /> Members Present: Rick DeAngelis, Chair; John McWeeney, Charlie Minasian; George <br /> Burnell, Vice Chair; Larry Smith, Vice Chair; Lisa Murray; Adrienne Ortyl; Bridger McGraw; <br /> Mark Sandeen, BOS liaison; Jill Hai, BOS liaison; Charles Hornig, Planning Board liaison <br /> Staff Present: Sandhya Iyer, Casey Hagerty, Carol Kowalski <br /> 8:09am The meeting was called to order. <br /> Mr. DeAngelis began the meeting by welcoming three new members to the Committee. <br /> 1. Town Meeting Recap <br /> Mr. DeAngelis updated the Committee on the outcome of 2021 Annual Town Meeting. Article <br /> 44 passed, Article 45 was referred back to the Planning Board, and Article 35 passed. <br /> 2. Next Steps and Goal Setting <br /> Now that the Hartwell Ave project has gone to Town Meeting, the Committee discussed what <br /> their next goals should be. It is not likely that the Planning Board will take up Article 45 any <br /> time soon. The Committee discussed the need to market the story and incentives around <br /> development in Lexington. Economic Development Staff will work with interested committee <br /> members to start developing some ideas around marketing. <br /> 3. Economic Development Office Updates <br /> Ms. Iyer updates the Committee on the Comprehensive Plan process. There will be public <br /> meetings over the Summer to update the community on the process. <br /> Ms. Hai provided an update on the Stone Building Reuse Committee project. There will be two <br /> public meetings to provide the community the opportunity to provide feedback on the future of <br /> the building. <br /> 9:44am <br /> Motion to adjourn made by Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Minassian.
