<br />PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE <br />HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION <br />Minutes of Thursday, October 2, 2014, <br />Selectman’s Meeting Room, Lexington Town Offices, 1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> at 7:00PM <br />Commissioners present: Joseph Welch, Chair, Lynn Hopkins, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer <br />Associate Commissioners: Marilyn Fenollosa, Barbara Feldman and Jon Wardwell <br />Department Clerk: Linda Rainville <br /> <br /> <br />7:00 PM <br />881 Massachusetts Avenue: <br /> Greg Antonelli, presented plans for an asphalt play area, shed, retaining wall and stockade <br />fence painted black. There were questions regarding zoning codes regarding the asphalt area. Also the setback for the <br />shed needs to be verified. This hearing was continued to November. <br />7:10 PM <br />4 Rowland Avenue <br />: Jon Wardwell, representing Patrick Swanson,exterior architectural changes in the Munroe Tavern <br />District. This request was withdrawn because it was a repair/replace in-kind. <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br />1775 and 1761 Massachusetts Avenue <br />: Melisa Tintocalis, presented two concepts for this area. Concept One included a <br />“plug and play” with canopy. Concept Two included a water play area or sculpture, and seating areas. The next step will <br />be to take the ideas back to the committee and form one concept. <br />847 Massachusetts Avenue <br />: John Picone,presented the plans for windows, doors and lighting. They will use Pinnacle <br />wood windows (thick sill window). The doors will be a Windsor door on the second floor (2/4) and a Simpson door for <br />the first floor on the side and for the front door. The front door with have two double hung windows on either side. There <br />will be a sliding barn style door on the side of the garage. The attic access door will be a hayloft type with frame. The <br />attic window on the front will be a 2/2 awning or casement window. There will be two light fixtures in the back and one <br />light fixture over the sliding door. The garage door will be an Artisan Carriage Door as shown in the photo (2 panels with <br />windows 2/4). Paint colors will match the existing color of yellow with white trim. All in favor. <br />13 Bedford Street: <br /> John Picone, presented plans to remove the screening on the second floor porch. A gutter will be <br />added to the right side of the porch. The covered roof will be brought back to the exterior wall. The posts will be dropped <br />down and capped and a railing will be added. A French door will be installed. The door will have a pediment header to <br />match existing front door. The window on the second floor will match the window on the first floor with a pediment <br />header. The lower porch door will have 2/2 window with a pediment header. There will be two lights for the upper porch <br />and one light centered on the lower porch. All in favor <br />INFORMAL HEARINGS <br />1775 Massachusetts Avenue <br />: Joe Traney, presented plans to change the color of paint to be used from maroon to Storm <br />Cloud Gray (SW6249) with black shutters, white trim. He will return for a formal hearing in November. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />Minutes from September 4, 2014 approved as written. <br />
