Lincoln Park Sub - Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 5, 2015 • <br />Attendees: David Williams, Chairman, Doug Lucente, Joanne Shorter, Cynthia Kuechle, Christina Burwell, <br />Myles Connors, Parterre, and Wesley Wirth. <br />The Chairman opened the meeting at 7:35pm. <br />Meeting Minutes -The committee approved the meeting minutes from meetings held on July 15, 2015 <br />and September 17, 2015. <br />Sign for the Nell Walker Striped Maple Grove -The committee approved the wording and the purchase <br />of a sign to honor the Nell Walker Striped Maple Grove. The sign will be purchased through Signs By <br />Tomorrow, and will be made of Black Acrylic and come with a wood post, to be installed at a later date. <br />Eagle Scout Projects - Wesley Wirth updated the committee an the three Eagle Scout projects. 1) 20 <br />yards of stone dust was put on the cart path, and hand packed by the Scouts; 2) Stone edging was <br />installed; 3) Wood chips and logs were placed on the meadow side. Wesley Wirth will get the names of <br />the individual scouts who worked on the project so that the committee can properly thank them for <br />their efforts. Additionally, it was noted that Chris Filadoro from the DPW was instrumental In getting this <br />project completed. <br />Granite Forest - The committee discussed the proposed project to install granite forest at Lincoln Park. <br />In addition to the proposed CPA request for 530,000 toward the project, other smaller sources for the <br />project were discussed, including the Arts Council, the Trustees of Public Trusts, and the Fund for <br />Lexington. 1 ne committee discussed reaching out to some local writers and poets to nevi the process <br />of developing the possible artistic wording to be used with the project. <br />Plantings -- Myles Connors discussed the plantings with the committee. Myles will continue to <br />contemplate other plantings for next season. The committee voted and approved to spend $1,000 on <br />bulbs to be planted by Parterre. <br />ACROSS Lexington - The ACROSS Lexington Committee requested the permission of the Lincoln Park <br />Sub- Committee to add another route through Lincoln Park.
