<br />ACROSS Lexington – Phase 2 Route Outlines <br />(Subject to revision from field work) <br />January 20, 2015 <br />Bikeway-Battleroad Connector <br />Type: Connector with additional spur option <br />Proposed Route: Garfield to Meagherville to Cedar to Martingale to Freemont to <br />Constitution to Paul Revere to Mass Ave across 128 to Wood Street to Fiske Hill, <br />MMNHP <br />Comments/Questions: <br />Route/Spur Options: <br />A.Alternate route to Freemont - Exiting Meagherville trail at Cedar turn right on <br />paved entrance to golf course, proceed down through parking lot to paved path <br />skirting end of pond, turn left into wooded area where new trail will be required to <br />reach existing entrance between 53 and 59 Freemont. <br />B.Spur – Continue along Cedar to Poor Farm entrance between 129 and 121 Cedar, <br />traverse Poor Farm, exit 67 Cedar and 91 Hill Street, Cedar to Childs to Hastings <br />to Hayden Center between buildings to Worthen to Route B connection. <br />Investigate connection through Lincoln Park to Route B. <br />Connection options beyond end point at Battle Road Trail <br />A.Continue along Wood Street to NSTAR power line corridor and beyond to <br />connect to West Lexington Greenway Trail possibilities. <br />B.Connect through Minuteman National Historical Park trails or continue along <br />Mass Ave to hotel property entrance, continue down to light on Marrett Road, <br />cross Marrett Road and use entrance to One Cranberry Hill to parking lot entrance <br />to Cranberry Hill trails. <br />Shire/Hayden Woods <br />Type: Loop utilizing Route B <br />Proposed Route: Route B at Bridge School across playing field to Coppersmyth trail to <br />Marrett Road, west on Marrett to Lincoln, left on Lincoln to Idlywilde entrance, through <br />Idlywilde to Middle Street, right on Middle to Lincoln Street to Weston Street to Shade <br />Street to fire road entrance to pending Conservation easement on Shire property, along <br /> <br />
