<br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />April 17, 2015 <br /> 201 Bedford Street Cafe <br />Members Present <br />Lorain Marquis, Rich McDonough, Suzie Barry, Linda Dixon, Carol Flynn, Karen Gaughan, Cerise <br />Jalelian, Paul Jenkins, Linda Levett, Sondra Lucente, Barbara Manfredi, Julie Miller, Wayne <br />Miller, Bill Mix, Tanya Morrisett, Henry Murphy, Sandy Podgorski, Charlie Price, and Bob Tracey <br />Members Not Present <br /> Suzanne Caton, Geetha Padaki, Dave Taylor and Sam Zales <br />Guest <br /> : Mike Levett <br />Business/ Patriot's Day <br />*The Committee discussed the concerns and last minute details for the upcoming <br />Patriot's Day activities. <br />* The number of convertibles needed and for whom. <br />*120 members of the Old Guard will be on the Green tomorrow (Saturday) at noon. <br />They will then go to Brookhaven for lunch at 2:30. Major Gen. Rice, Adjutant <br />General of the Massachusetts National Guard, will be at the Old Guard performance <br />and the Re-enactment. <br />* Lorain coordinated press coverage with Henry Liu of the Lexington Minutemen. <br />*The stakes will be put in on Sunday at 4:00pm. Meeting at Locust St. <br />*The parade roster underwent some final adjustments. Every effort was made to be <br />mindful of parade protocol for military groups. i.e. active duty groups come before <br />reserve units. <br />* Moved bands so that they are not all together. <br />* The Committee voted to approve adding the Hanscom Air Force Colorguard as a <br />unit to the parade. <br />* Further discussed time to be at the re-enactment and morning parade. The Sunrise <br />Youth Parade won't step off until the Minutemen arrive. <br />e <br />* The check-in desk for the afternoon parade opens at 11:30.
